Eunsol YounViolinist

Ms. Youn started her career as a soloist by winning the first prize of Busan Music competition, first prize of Jungang Music competition and winning all the 1st prizes in majority of prestigious competitions in Korea. By winning the 1st prize of “KBS Korean Music competition” in 2008 in Korea, she has gain attention from the Korean music society.

In her international career, she was awarded of 2 special prizes at the “Henri Marteau competition” as a Finalist which was held in Germany. She was also selected as a scholarship student of “Japanese Ishigawa Music Academy” and was invited to the Korean-American General New Year’s Concert. Eunsol Youn won the 3rd prize of the “International Violin Competition of Torun” and the 19th Postacchini Competition which made her debut in Fermo, Italy, proving once again as the next generation artist.

Eunsol is performing in many concerts in Korea, as well as other countries Which includes Recital as a Kumho Artist, SWD Philharmonie, Torun Symphony(Poland),Marchigiana Philharmonic, Kollegium musicum Seoul, Prime Philharmonic, KBS symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Incheon∙ Busan∙Daegu∙Masan∙Jinju Philharmonic Orchestra and China Tanjin Orchestra etc. She is making her reputation by making many successful collaborations with orchestras and also giving concerts as a chamber musician.

She is a member of Abel Quartet, and they received numerous invitations and awards from many prestigious international music festivals such as Kuhmo Festival, Casalmaggiore Festival, etc. Abel quartet won the First Prize of the 6th Joseph Haydn International Chamber Music Competition in Vienna and 2nd Prize of the 11th Concours international de musique de chambre de Lyon, 3rd prize of Concours international d’exécution musicale de Genève, etc. Currently, the first album of Abel quartet, “In nomine Domini” is waiting for a release soon on September, 2023.

Ms. Youn studied under Nam-Yun Kim and Christoph Poppen and graduated from Korea National University of Arts, Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.

She is now based in Korea as the violinist of “Abel Quartet”, currently making more influences throughout Europe and in Asia as a soloist.
